This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
• Develop and manage dimensional data models, including designs for Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Convert business requirements into scalable and optimized data structures within Snowflake.
• Create data models that facilitate reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
• Ensure the consistency, scalability, and maintainability of enterprise data assets.
• Implement clustering keys, partitioning strategies, and materialized views to enhance query performance.
• Optimize the utilization of Snowflake compute and storage while managing operational costs.
• Analyze and model insurance data across various domains such as policy, claims, billing, underwriting, and customer data.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data solutions with P&C insurance processes and requirements.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives for transforming insurance data.
• Design and execute ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Guarantee seamless integration between Guidewire platforms and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Enforce enterprise data governance standards and best practices.
• Uphold data quality, lineage, metadata management, and compliance policies.
• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Data Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake Data Modeling, encompassing Conceptual, Logical, Physical, and Dimensional Modeling, as well as Star and Snowflake Schemas.
• Advanced experience in SQL development and performance tuning.
• Significant programming experience with Python and PySpark.
• Practical experience with Snowflake, AWS S3, AWS Glue, and AWS Lambda.
• Experience in designing and supporting ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with Medallion Architecture and contemporary data lakehouse concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of the Guidewire Data Model.
• Strong understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
• Insight into insurance business processes, including policy administration, claims management, underwriting, and billing.
