This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Frame complex compliance and risk challenges as clearly defined data and modeling tasks.
• Develop, assess, and refine machine learning models and features powered by large language models (LLM).
• Design experiments and establish metrics to evaluate genuine impact on customer workflows.
• Implement thorough evaluations, including considerations for accuracy, explainability, and bias relevant to a regulated environment.
• Construct and maintain data and machine learning pipelines for training, inference, and monitoring.
• Deploy models and AI functionalities into production and oversee their performance over time.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reliably and scalably integrate models into the Themis platform.
• Explore and prep data, create features, and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Translate data and model insights into clear recommendations for product teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with Product to pinpoint high-value opportunities for machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and fundamental data science principles.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with common data and machine learning libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
• Experience in transitioning models or data products from prototype to production.
• Proficient in SQL and adept at working with real-world, messy data.
• Capability to design experiments, define metrics, and rigorously evaluate models.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and take ownership of problems from start to finish.
