This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive analyses from start to finish.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and convert them into analytical strategies.

• Create, test, and enhance suitable methodologies for intricate analytical inquiries.

• Work directly with extensive, unstructured healthcare datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims.

• Develop and uphold robust SQL queries and analytical datasets.

• Provide Decision-Ready Insights.

• Create clear visualizations and summaries that effectively convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Transform complex analyses into actionable recommendations.

• Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations to guarantee transparency and repeatability.

• Collaborate within the team.

• Partner closely with Data Scientists to facilitate exploratory analyses, hypothesis generation, and result interpretation.

• Work alongside Analytics colleagues to ensure alignment on definitions, methodologies, and data quality standards.

• Contribute through teamwork and shared problem-solving.

• Drive business impact.

• Actively identify opportunities where analytics can enhance business outcomes.

• Support teams across the organization, including underwriting, product, account management, and cost containment.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in a healthcare analytics role, ideally within the health benefits sector or insurance industry.

• Extensive, hands-on experience with administrative healthcare data (medical and pharmacy claims).

• Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with comfort in quantitative reasoning, distributions, rates, and variability as applied to real-world healthcare data.

• Expert-level SQL proficiency, including the ability to build, optimize, and validate complex analytical queries.

• Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau.

• Significant experience in data cleaning, validation, and exploratory analysis utilizing large, complex datasets.

• Strong grasp of analytical methods, including descriptive statistics, cohort analysis, risk assessment, trend analysis, and causal reasoning.

• Excellent analytic judgment: knowing which method to apply, why, and when.

• Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytic field (or equivalent professional experience).
