This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist clients in comprehending their data to determine the most suitable data for Benchmark products and data science requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to grasp data creation processes, document insights, and communicate them to internal stakeholders.
• Analyze extensive file-based datasets utilizing data transformation tools like Excel, Databrew, and SQL to accurately map data from source systems to target systems.
• Continuously enhance data processes to boost efficiency and quality.
• Verify the completeness of received and extracted data to ensure compliance with data science and system requirements.
• Develop and uphold documentation for data pipeline workflows, ETL processes, and data dictionaries.
• Offer insights and feedback on data structures, quality, and consistency.
• Identify data quality challenges, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with relevant teams to address them.
• Analyze pipeline processes, pinpoint inefficiencies, recommend enhancements, and test solutions to optimize data ingestion and minimize implementation time.
• Support process documentation to prepare the team and organization for growth and scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures, workflows, and data governance policies.
• Prepare presentations and reports based on analytical results and deliver findings to various stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
• Assist in client configuration, implementation, and deployment of analytic systems as necessary to ensure client success.
• Periodic travel within the United States is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3-4+ years of client-facing analyst experience, particularly involving direct client interaction that includes a data component.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to convey complex topics clearly and succinctly.
• Enjoys engaging with data, testing hypotheses, and conducting exploratory data analysis.
• Ability to interpret the significance of data to effectively map it from source systems to target systems.
• Experience and/or knowledge of ETL processes and relational databases, along with an understanding of ETL development.
• Strong data intuition, including an ability to identify patterns and comprehend central tendencies within both qualitative and quantitative data.
• High technical aptitude and capacity to quickly acquire new technical products and skills.
• Strong sense of process and awareness of how individual steps contribute to achieving desired outcomes.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks and projects while adhering to deadlines and collaborating effectively with others.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, especially in complex and non-routine situations.
• Proficient in effective communication across various levels, including customers, team members, and managers, in a fast-paced environment.
