Lead Corrective Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

• Lead and provide support to teams of technicians.

• Execute major up-tower component replacements across various turbine platforms, including GE, Nordex, Siemens, Vestas, and Gamesa.

• Capable of replacing significant components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, rotors, and hubs.

• Offer technical guidance and support for large corrective actions.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the field.

• Deliver efficient, high-quality, customer-centric results that align with cost and schedule expectations.

• Report daily project activities to the site manager or site supervisor.

• Complete necessary documentation (e.g., service reports, timecards, expense reports, etc.).

• Provide daily updates to the site manager and large corrective manager.

• Submit weekly truck and trailer reports to the Large Corrective Manager.

• Assist in the recruitment and training of team members.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned, which may involve various types of wind turbine maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in large correctives is required.

• At least one year of experience in flagging and conducting 2X GE component replacements is necessary.

• Driving is a fundamental aspect of the role; applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of application and maintain an acceptable driving record. Employees are required to uphold a valid license and may be subject to periodic DMV checks.

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.

• A pre-hire drug screening is mandatory.

• Availability for a flexible travel schedule, with travel requirements reaching up to 100%.

• Must be physically and mentally capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
