This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Provide leadership and expertise while delegating responsibilities for construction document deliverables related to BAS, EPMS, and software integration design projects.
• Develop and implement engineering solutions for Building Automation Systems.
• Act as the client program lead, project trade lead, and subject matter expert (SME) for the BAS and EPMS scope.
• Establish client standards, basis of design (BOD), conduct feasibility studies, and assist clients in creating building automation roadmaps.
• Lead the design of integrations for DDC and PLC-based BAS and EPMS systems.
• Design controls network/system architecture, including IT/OT requirements.
• Select instrumentation, sensors, actuators, valves, and other field devices.
• Collaborate with vendors of equipment, systems, and products to address building automation interface requirements.
• Create and review project books and sheet specifications.
• Develop and review sequences of operations.
• Create and evaluate system diagrams and point/alarm lists.
• Work closely with client IT departments regarding network design, interface specifics, and security requirements.
• Provide guidance on engineering production aspects alongside internal and external Revit/BIM resources.
• Responsible for the construction document deliverables concerning BAS submittal packages.
• Oversee the planning and execution of construction support activities.
• Conduct design reviews focused on building automation.
• Manage project communication and reporting efforts.
• Prepare progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor personal hours using company tools.
• Implement and track team objectives to achieve established goals.
• Manage and execute departmental or organizational projects efficiently.

• Experienced with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and possess exceptional organizational skills for file management.
• Knowledgeable in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Capable of completing assignments accurately with keen attention to detail.
• Experienced in designing BAS and EPMS packages.
• Familiar with the construction design process, stakeholders, and deliverables.
• Knowledgeable about code requirements and energy guidelines pertaining to BAS designs.
• Experienced with data center HVAC applications and BAS control strategies, including chilled water plants.
• Familiar with IoT and smart building solutions.
• Knowledgeable about networking concepts, including addressing, VLANs, LANs, switches, and routers.
• Well-versed in OT protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and MQTT).
• Knowledgeable about DDC systems utilized in building automation designs.
• Familiar with PLC systems applied in building automation designs.
• Possess organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
• Capable of thriving in a remote environment through effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace.
