Lead Contract Manager – Behind the Meter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer support in managing commercial contracts for GE Grid’s BTM portfolio.

• Enhance and secure contract margins by actively identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

• Analyze, interpret, and negotiate the terms and conditions of prime contracts.

• Assist with the delivery and management of contracts throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Lead the drafting, preparation, submission, and negotiation of claims, change orders, variation orders, and other formal contractual entitlements.

• Formulate and implement strategies for claims management.

• Ensure appropriate alignment of contractual obligations through flow-down and back-to-back agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.

• Review and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements.

• Draft and manage formal notices, correspondence, and various contract communications.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

• Assist in resolving disputes with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, project management, legal, finance, and operations teams.

• Maintain contract records, key correspondence, and performance metrics within company systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Legal Studies, Business, Commercial Management, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and commercial management within a fast-paced project or technology-driven environment.

• Strong knowledge of commercial and legal terms relevant to energy-related infrastructure projects.

• Experience in supporting EPC contract project delivery and management.

• Familiarity with claims management, change orders, variation orders, and dispute resolution.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
