Lead Compliance Consultant – Employee Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for offering technical compliance guidance related to employee benefits for both external clients and internal staff.

• Delivers consistent strategic assistance to Alliant Employee Benefits National Operations.

• Guides and leads team members.

• Responsible for making strategic decisions regarding the creation and implementation of compliance content.

• Utilizes independent judgment to navigate challenging situations involving clients and account teams.

• Develops expertise in the subject matter and takes responsibility for supporting the team, acting as a subject matter expert during training sessions.

• In charge of leading and potentially supervising team members, delegating tasks, monitoring work progress, addressing escalated inquiries, conducting staff training, and responding to questions.

• Proactively creates content that responds to new compliance legislation on behalf of the national Compliance team, ensuring it is distributed internally and to clients in a clear and practical manner. This includes educational webinars, seminars, alerts, white papers, checklists, and frequently asked questions (FAQs), as well as reviewing and understanding regulatory source material.

• Collaborates with other Compliance team members to maintain current content on the Compliance portal. Partners with brokers, managing directors, and service teams on key accounts, which includes attending meetings and participating in conference calls according to established national Compliance engagement protocols.

• Works closely with the local operational lead to evaluate local client compliance requirements and training needs for account teams.

• Plays a significant role in creating Compliance content for the national Compliance team, aimed at client distribution and educating staff on compliance matters to ensure competency.

• Provides timely support for daily compliance questions for the local Alliant employee benefits practice based on regional or office assignments, ensuring that issues are prioritized and addressed according to the established national Compliance engagement protocol.

• Assists in developing processes and a templates library to bolster client service teams, making updates as necessary.

• Participates in prospect meetings following the established National Compliance engagement protocol to showcase Alliant Compliance capabilities.

• Executes all responsibilities in alignment with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing the Company's operations.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the workforce.

• At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience in the employee benefits and compliance sectors.

• Proficiency in drafting white papers on benefits compliance topics and conducting written legal analyses.

• Experience in public speaking, including the development and delivery of training content related to benefits compliance.

• ATT-JD - Attorney.

• Possession of an active State Bar License.
