Lead Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage and implement all technical, construction, and commissioning tasks at customer locations.

• Guarantee safe, prompt, and high-quality service from site mobilization to final handover.

• Take charge of the entire commissioning lifecycle.

• Coordinate civil engineering, erection processes, and system commissioning.

• Oversee daily operations and interact with customers.

• Facilitate successful project execution across diverse teams.

• Foster and maintain a robust site safety culture.

• Lead the testing and commissioning processes for substation equipment.

• Supervise and manage the daily commissioning resources on-site.

• Prepare, distribute, and maintain all necessary site documentation.

• Act as the LV Authorised Person (Advanced).

• Serve as a principal technical leader by independently resolving commissioning issues.

• Organize and carry out commissioning activities according to established schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Extensive technical experience with HV substation protection relays.

• Knowledge of SCADA systems.

• Expertise in IEC 61850 protocols.

• Proven ability in troubleshooting protection schemes using tools like Omicron, Programma, and Megger.

• Proficient in computer usage and comfortable with digital tools and testing software.

• Practical understanding of construction and field service operations.

• Experience within the North & South Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and on-site personnel.
