This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support management in approving adjustments within the collection department.
• Engage with payer representatives and vendors to resolve outstanding issues.
• Aid in documenting procedures and requirements for record-keeping and reporting compliance, in line with state and federal regulations as well as accrediting body standards.
• Facilitate training and orientation sessions for new staff members.
• Analyze accounts with significant balances to ensure prompt billing, effective follow-up, and accurate cash posting.
• Examine problematic accounts to devise strategies for achieving zero balance resolution.
• Generate and record daily and monthly productivity reports for individual collectors for managerial review.
• Timely document all account activities.
• Ensure adherence to all state and federal billing guidelines.
• Daily review of system work lists, reports, and/or ATB to address accounts unpaid for over 30 days post-claim submission.
• Identify and document denial trends, provide data-supported documentation, and suggest improvements for processes.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years in Patient Accounting.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Hospital setting with Leadership responsibilities.
