Lead C#/.NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As the technical liaison within the development team, you will engage in coding, make technical decisions for daily operations, and provide mentorship to colleagues without holding disciplinary management duties.

• Play an active role as a developer during sprints by implementing your features and resolving bugs.

• Tackle complex technical challenges and address architectural issues that arise during team activities.

• Engage in architectural discussions within the team, focusing on aspects such as modularization, interfaces, and security.

• Contribute to the enhancement of our core systems (C#/.NET, MS SQL) towards resilient, containerized services hosted in a Kubernetes cluster.

• Take into account non-functional requirements, including observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment.

• Assist in the expansion and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps) and promote practices like Clean Code, code reviews, and automated testing (unit & system tests) with a clear shift-left approach.

• Aid in shortening development cycles and improving deployment reliability within the team.

• Foster knowledge sharing to prevent siloed expertise, ensuring that information is accessible, documented, and not limited to individual contributors.

• Develop structured, clear, and current process and system documentation.

• Create practical best-practice guides and technical standards focused on quality and efficiency.

• Offer technical guidance and coaching to developers in architecture, Clean Code, and systems thinking, without disciplinary authority.

• Assist in onboarding new team members by providing technical insights and knowledge transfer.

• Promote continuous learning and constructive technical exchanges within the team.

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager on technical inquiries and the team’s technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in C#/.NET with a strong backend foundation.

• Several years of experience developing web applications in C#/.NET.

• Confident in handling scalable database systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and modern backend architectures (modular services).

• Preferably experienced with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ.

• Maintain high-quality standards without resorting to quick fixes, combined with a pragmatic and holistic product perspective.

• Experience with AI and large language models (LLMs) in development.

• Familiarity with integrating new technologies and digital solutions.

• Strong understanding of the potential and limitations of AI in an enterprise environment.

• Experience in AI/LLM-assisted development and ideally in integrating AI-based features.

• Practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Strong skills in designing, scaling, and orchestrating services.

• Proficient in using GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), and automated testing (unit & system tests).

• Passionate about sharing your technical expertise and supporting the growth of fellow developers.

• Capable of explaining complex technical subjects clearly, including to non-technical stakeholders.

• Interested in understanding business needs and actively engaging in discovery processes with product managers and stakeholders.

• Language proficiency: English at least C1 (team), German at least B2 (stakeholders).
