This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and perform official CMMC Level 2 evaluations in alignment with the CMMC Assessment Process (CAP) and Cyber-AB standards.
• Define assessment scope, analyze System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), and assess evidence against NIST SP 800-171 practices.
• Supervise and guide assessment team members, including junior assessors and CCPs, throughout the entire assessment lifecycle.
• Act as the main liaison for client organizations during assessments, which includes kickoff meetings, evidence review sessions, and final briefings.
• Create clear and defensible assessment reports and documentation of findings for submission to the Cyber-AB.
• Keep assessment records in compliance with confidentiality and data handling protocols, ensuring that no CUI or export-controlled information is mishandled during the assessment.
• Remain updated on CMMC program developments, Cyber-AB recommendations, and modifications to NIST SP 800-171/800-172.
• Assist Radar's internal quality assurance initiatives to guarantee assessments adhere to Cyber-AB and DoD standards.
• Ensure a clear distinction between assessment activities and any Sentinel Blue managed services to maintain independence and prevent conflicts of interest.
• Active Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (LCCA) credential in good standing with the Cyber-AB, holding an approved Tier III clearance.
• Previous experience as a CMMC Assessor, consultant, or IT Auditor.
• Strong understanding of NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-172, and the CMMC Assessment Process (CAP).
• Proven experience in evaluating SSPs, POA&Ms, and technical evidence across various IT environments, including cloud platforms.
• Exceptional written communication skills — assessment findings must be accurate and defensible.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage several simultaneous assessment projects.
