Lead, Clinical Trial Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee CTL activities in studies utilizing multiple CTLs, coordinating workstreams and ensuring delivery meets high-quality standards and timelines.

• Manage, mentor, train, and support CTL team members and other colleagues, fostering ongoing career growth within the division and ICON.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the scientific fundamentals of assigned clinical trials and convey complex scientific, protocol, and study information effectively to project teams, investigators, and site staff.

• Produce educational materials that clearly articulate the science behind the clinical trial and promote a consistent understanding at the site level.

• Establish trusted relationships with investigators and site personnel to enhance study execution and site involvement.

• Recognize scientific and operational challenges impacting recruitment, retention, and data quality, collaborating with study teams to address these issues.

• Identify effective pre-screening methodologies for each trial and suggest practical enhancements based on site feedback and patient pathways.

• Provide comprehensive and timely reports on interactions with investigators and site staff, including pertinent insights for project teams.

• Contribute to the development of tools, materials, and strategies that bolster site engagement and performance.

• Engage in business development initiatives and represent the CTL function as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral-level qualification such as a PhD, MD, or PharmD in a relevant scientific, medical, pharmacy, or healthcare field.

• Significant experience in clinical research, medical affairs, or field-based roles involving direct interaction with investigators and clinical trial sites.

• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and site operations.

• Ability to interpret complex medical and scientific data and clearly explain protocol concepts to various audiences.

• Proven skills in relationship building and maintaining credibility with clinicians, investigators, and site teams.

• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, including experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing others.

• Excellent skills in communication, presentation, influencing, and problem-solving.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a matrixed, global environment.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
