This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the management of intricate and high-severity claims related to Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, Crime/Fidelity, Professional Liability / Errors & Omissions (E&O), and Cyber.
• Examine claim notifications, demand letters, subpoenas, regulatory investigations, and lawsuits to determine potential insurance coverage.
• Report new issues under all relevant policies and aid clients in safeguarding their insurance rights.
• Formulate and implement claim strategies aimed at optimizing policyholder recovery.
• Coordinate and oversee communications among clients, insurers, defense counsel, coverage counsel, forensic firms, and other stakeholders in the claims process.
• Supervise insurer investigations, coverage positions, and claims handling activities to ensure prompt and equitable claim resolution.
• Negotiate coverage disputes, advancements of defense costs, settlements, and allocation matters with insurers.
• Assess policy language, endorsements, exclusions, and program structures to pinpoint coverage opportunities and potential deficiencies.
• Offer technical coverage analysis and guidance concerning management liability, professional liability, and cyber insurance policies.
• Assist policy placement teams by identifying claim trends and proposing improvements to policy language and program structure.
• Act as the primary claims contact for designated clients and broker teams.
• Cultivate and sustain trusted relationships with risk managers, general counsel, executives, finance leaders, and other client stakeholders.
• Conduct claim reviews, stewardship meetings, and analyses of claim trends for clients.
• Provide proactive updates on claim developments, emerging risks, and market trends.
• Contribute to new business opportunities by engaging in client presentations, responses to RFPs, and meetings with prospects.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; insurance certification is preferred (e.g., CPCU, AIC).
• Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in specialty claims handling.
• Strong skills in coverage interpretation and litigation management.
• In-depth knowledge of D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O, and Cyber insurance products.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
