This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Assist with daily operations concerning clinical charge audits and charge capture.
• Aid in the implementation and upkeep of standardized workflows created in collaboration with the Director of Charge Capture, Special Projects Manager, and Associate Vice President of Revenue Integrity.
• Carry out second-level charge audit reviews as requested by staff, payors, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, or the Director.
• Utilize payor and coding guidelines to formulate response strategies for complex cases, including those involving new technologies.
• Engage in thorough research.
• Present audit findings in both written and verbal formats to the relevant departments or payors.
• Implement department best practices to conduct audits efficiently while fostering continuous quality improvement.
• Remain updated on relevant payor and coding guidelines, industry trends, and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree in nursing, along with an additional five years of experience in a revenue cycle-related role.
• Valid Kentucky licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of 3 years of comprehensive acute care nursing experience is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
• Basic knowledge of coding and payment methodologies, including DRG and APC, is necessary.
• Strong comprehension of audit response requirements and timelines for those involved in payor audits.
