This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engaging with clients to discuss project scope and specific tasks.
• Installing, terminating, testing, certifying, and labeling CAT5, CAT6, and Single/Multi Mode fiber cables.
• Constructing complete IDF/MDF setups, which include the installation of racks, cabinets, and ladder racking.
• Organizing cables and installing fiber channel trays.
• Drilling, cutting ceiling tiles, penetrating firewalls, and applying UL-approved fire penetration solutions such as fire sleeves and fire stops.
• Installing a variety of network devices, including wireless access points, digital signage, and security cameras.
• Leading teams of installers, including subcontractors.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to copper and fiber connections.
• Installing, cutting, and bending EMT conduit and raceway as required to complete pathways.
• Documenting and reporting completed tasks daily to the project manager.
• Ensuring quality service by establishing and adhering to industry and organizational standards.
• Contributing to team objectives by completing assigned tasks as necessary.
• Setting a positive example and meeting or surpassing all policy requirements, including attendance and dress codes.
• Demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
• Communicating verbally through phone, email, and fax systems throughout the day.
• Possessing a valid driver’s license for business purposes and maintaining a clean driving record.
• This position necessitates up to a minimum of 80% travel to customer job sites, often requiring extended periods away from home.
• A college or vocational trade degree is preferred, while a high school diploma is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of cabling experience, with at least 1 year in a project lead role managing other technicians.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• A technical understanding of voice, data, and fiber optic systems is essential.
• Ability to produce detailed documentation is required.
• Experience with cabling and fiber testing and certification equipment is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to provide detailed guidance and clarity regarding work requirements and expectations to team members; capable of interfacing with customers and delivering exceptional service.
• Must be able to climb ladders, crawl, kneel, and reach overhead as needed.
• Ability to distinguish between colors for termination requirements is essential.
