Lead Business Intelligence Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of the semantic layer from start to finish — developing Power BI models on Databricks and Fabric, designed for performance, maintainability, and reliability.

• Establish the company's metrics: a unified definition for AR days, denial rate, net collection rate, and others, ensuring that every team and client has access to the same accurate information.

• Create provider-facing reports that our clients depend on — visually appealing, user-friendly, rapid, and reliable enough to support a business review.

• Develop internal analytics for our revenue cycle teams to facilitate daily operations and assess the effectiveness of our automation efforts.

• Initiate our first data-analyst agents — automated analyses that continuously monitor data, highlight trends and anomalies, and generate initial insights before they are requested.

• Influence the gold layer as its primary user — and take responsibility for transformations if that aligns with your skill set.

• Establish the BI standards, frameworks, and review processes that will support the function's scalability as we expand.

• Collaborate closely with users on both sides — operations teams and client-facing leaders — to solve problems rather than just addressing ticket queues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in BI/analytics with substantial expertise in Power BI — including DAX and semantic modeling.

• Experience with healthcare claims and payer data — familiarity with 835/837 transactions or related claims data.

• Proficient in SQL with real-world experience working with a lakehouse or modern data warehouse (Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, or similar).

• Proven track record of developing reports that external clients or executives genuinely relied on — beyond just internal dashboards.
