This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business, functional, and data requirements for CMM data products and analytics.
• Direct the development and upkeep of Source-to-Target Mappings (STTMs), workflows, and documentation of data requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops, working sessions, and governance meetings; document decisions and action items.
• Convert statutory, operational, and reporting needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in coordinating data governance and ensuring alignment with standards, policies, and stewardship decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to verify data models, transformations, and reporting logic.
• Integrate data classification, security, and access control considerations into the requirements.
• Aid in test planning, validation of results, and user acceptance testing.
• Create and maintain Agile artifacts, including backlogs, user stories, and traceability matrices.
• Contribute business definitions and data attributes to the metadata catalog ingestion process.
• Assist in training, documentation, and communication initiatives for CMM data product users.
• Ensure that documentation is audit-ready, version-controlled, and compliant with SOW.
• Function within an Agile federal delivery environment, supporting multiple scrum teams.
• Collaborate with business owners, data engineers, architects, and governance teams.
• Ensure accuracy of requirements, traceability, quality of documentation, and timely delivery of outputs.
• MA/MS degree with over 7 years of general experience in information systems and 7+ years of specialized experience, or BS/BA degree with over 9 years of general experience in information systems and 7+ years of specialized experience.
• Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in assisting with testing, writing acceptance criteria, and verifying test case results.
• Proven ability to produce current requirements, size user stories, and eliminate roadblocks prior to sprint initiation.
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise IT or data programs.
• Background in supporting cloud data platforms, analytics, or data initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in requirements management, data analysis, and documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting federal judiciary or justice-related programs.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS S3, Redshift, or QuickSight.
• Experience in supporting statutory or compliance-driven reporting.
• Mentoring or lead analyst experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL for read-only analysis.
• Familiarity with STTM and data mapping tools.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
• Extensive experience using Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
• Understanding of cloud-based data platform architecture, including data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with data platform and architecture, data engineering and integration, as well as data migration, archiving, and disaster recovery tools and services.
• Preferred certifications include CBAP or CCBA, PMI-PBA, or SAFe Agilist.
• Exceptional presentation and verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
