This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
• Assist in formulating business strategies while gathering requirements and understanding business needs from various cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Supervise business analysts and provide guidance on daily operations as necessary.
• Identify solutions, deliver training to business users, and serve as a sprint manager.
• Coach junior team members on best practices in business analysis and sprint methodologies.
• Ensure that documentation and process standards comply with industry best practices.
• Facilitate business process mapping and articulate requirements for prioritization and execution.
• Oversee request intake management and represent activity requests to the management prioritization group.
• Initiate projects and sprints, providing status updates to management and executive leadership.
• Develop specifications for smaller projects and ad hoc requests.
• Identify customer needs and propose various options and solutions.
• Analyze data, spot trends, utilize benchmark data, and create data visualizations.
• Present information in clear, concise, and useful formats.
• Convert customer requirements into project descriptions, analytical and data specifications, and timelines for mid-to-large projects and ongoing initiatives.
• Create analytic executive summaries for senior leadership.
• Prepare sprint cycles and stories, and engage in sprint planning.
• Lead or participate in sessions for work prioritization.
• Influence departmental strategy in business analysis and related functional areas.
• Independently manage strategic projects.
• Mentor and develop talent, guiding junior members on business-critical initiatives.
• Present politically sensitive information to executives across multiple entities.
• Utilize knowledge of insurance and managed care, healthcare delivery, and financial accounting to support analyses and business decisions.
• Assist with system-wide analytics and reporting activities.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A decade of experience in the field.
• Proficient in advanced Excel.
• Proficient in advanced PowerPoint.
• Capable of translating complex business concepts into simple, understandable communication.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements elicitation, and business process mapping.
• Skills in data interpretation, trend identification, benchmarking, and data visualization.
• Development of analytic and data specifications.
• Experience with sprint planning, sprint cycles, and sprint story preparation.
• Knowledge of insurance and managed care, healthcare delivery, and financial accounting.
• Understanding of organizational operations, capabilities, goals, and strategies.
• Ability to present information to senior leadership and executives.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry required.
• Capability to meet the outlined physical requirements, including occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of objects weighing 25–50 lbs.
• No professional license or certification is required.
