Lead Backend Engineer – Pension Team

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services utilizing Python 3.11 with Django / DRF.

• Facilitate architectural discussions and play a key role in shaping the long-term technical vision.

• Utilize MySQL and Redis to enhance performance and scalability.

• Construct and refine RESTful APIs for both internal and external integrations.

• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Business teams to implement impactful features and automate back office processes and workflows.

• Investigate and rectify production issues, identify bottlenecks, and minimize technical debt.

• Employ best practices in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions), and maintain code quality.

• Mentor and nurture engineers through code reviews, pairing, and providing technical guidance.

• Ensure compliance with security requirements by offering pragmatic and scalable technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend development experience, including project leadership or managing small teams.

• Proficient in Python, with substantial experience in Django or comparable frameworks.

• Strong grasp of relational databases, caching mechanisms, and scalable system architecture.

• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in written and spoken English, with native or near-native stakeholders (B2+ proficiency required).

• A collaborative attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and developing engineers.

• Familiarity with contemporary development practices: Git, CI/CD, testing, clean code, and monitoring.
