Lead Backend Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead a technical squad by establishing architecture and development standards for essential backend systems.

• Perform code reviews, establish versioning guidelines, and uphold advanced Git practices.

• Design, implement, and manage intricate CI/CD pipelines that integrate various services and environments within a distributed architecture (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).

• Ensure adherence to top security practices, implement authentication (OAuth2), and facilitate monitoring and observability (Grafana).

• Make informed technical decisions based on trade-off analyses of algorithms, data structures, and performance in high-load environments.

• Promote the integration of generative AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code) to enhance team productivity and improve delivery quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Java (Spring Boot) along with experience in PostgreSQL.

• Extensive experience with Docker containers, orchestration using Kubernetes/EKS, and AWS services (ECS, RDS, ALB/NLB, S3, Bedrock).

• Proven implementation of CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Definition and enforcement of standards for RESTful APIs, OAuth2 authentication, and messaging with Kafka.

• Advanced understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform) and strong security practices.

• Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and observability (Grafana).
