Lead Backend Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services and APIs utilizing Python and Django.

• Create and enhance data storage solutions with PostgreSQL and Redis, ensuring reliability and optimal performance.

• Integrate Elasticsearch for search capabilities and analytics across extensive datasets.

• Architect and manage distributed systems capable of handling high-throughput and low-latency operations.

• Construct and manage asynchronous task queues and background workers utilizing Celery and Redis.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and unit-test-oriented code with comprehensive coverage using pytest.

• Develop and maintain REST APIs, ensuring appropriate authentication, authorization, and version management.

• Monitor, diagnose, and enhance backend services for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining backend systems in production settings.

• Strong programming skills in Python and Django with over 10 years of experience.

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Familiarity with Redis for caching, message queuing, or real-time data processing.
