This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Plan, lead, and carry out third-party audits in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system and pinpoint nonconformities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Generate audit reports detailing findings, suggestions, and corrective action plans.
• Deliver audit outcomes to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve audit findings.
• Utilize systems engineering expertise to assess and enhance manufacturing processes during audits.
• Educate and mentor junior auditors and staff on ISO certification standards, audit methodologies, and quality management practices.
• Oversee and validate corrective and preventive actions post-audit.
• Stay updated on ISO standards and manufacturing regulations.
• Assist in the documentation of management systems, including procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
• Identify process inefficiencies and quality risks as part of risk management efforts.
• May supervise personnel within the business unit.
• Travel to client locations throughout North America as required.
• High School Diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on manufacturing processes, process optimization, or production systems.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing environmental and health & safety systems.
• At least 3 years of auditing experience, with proficiency in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 auditing.
• Capability to attain IATF 16949 third-party auditor qualification.
• Certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor course is a must.
• Lead Auditor approval from an accredited third-party certification organization.
• Additional certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage audit teams, and engage effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple audit schedules.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Solid grasp of systems engineering principles, process design, workflow analysis, and operational efficiency.
• Proficient in quality management software and tools, including Minitab and QMS platforms.
• Familiar with industry regulations and customer-specific requirements.
• Knowledge of environmental and health & safety management software and tools, including SafetyCulture.
• Awareness of Bureau Veritas global network and related certification activities.
