Lead Analyst, Contract Management

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Account Management and Offer Development teams to proactively address and influence contracting requirements for our primary customer segment.

• Under management's guidance, oversee and manage the negotiation of commercial contract terms and conditions.

• Assist in prioritizing and managing the workload queue.

• Prepare, review, and negotiate terms and conditions in commercial contracts and engage in customer calls as necessary.

• Partner with the Manager and Senior Manager of Contract Management to facilitate internal contract approvals and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes, including escalating intricate legal and factual matters to the relevant internal departments such as Supply Chain, Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management, Health Care Compliance, and the Commercial Programs Legal Group (CPLG).

• Cultivate and sustain positive business partnerships with Legal, Offer Development, Health Care Compliance, and the Field Sales Organization.

• Proactively assist in designing and implementing systems, processes, and controls to monitor and manage the contracting procedure, enhancing efficiency and compliance.

• When designated, facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal partners in alignment with the company's mission and values, ensuring actions taken are consistent with contract terms and agreements.

• Offer regular mentorship and training to Contract Management team members and business partners, ensuring they comprehend contractual requirements as well as the broader legal and compliance landscape.

• Ensure alignment with business needs, accurate risk distribution, and adherence to DePuy Synthes Orthopedics’ policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with Offer Development and Field teams to address any discrepancies or gaps in pricing approvals.

• Implement price adjustments resulting from contract maintenance activities, including scheduled price increases outlined in contracts and compliance-related price modifications for accounts not compliant.

• Generate contract price files, maintain Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) rosters on contracts, create member-add letters, and draft amendments.

• Write and/or update assigned standard operating procedures and work instructions while monitoring adherence to related processes.

• Provide timely responses to internal and external audit inquiries.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a BS/BA degree is required.

• A degree in Business, Finance, or Sales & Marketing is preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience in Contracting & Pricing or a related field within the medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or legal sectors is required.

• Strong interpersonal and time management skills, along with the ability to lead in a sophisticated, deadline-driven environment, are essential.

• Ability to draft complex contract terms and conditions, with attention to detail and capacity to review contracts for policy compliance, identify and evaluate risks, and a strong drive to understand Orthopaedic products, offerings, strategies, and business objectives is required.

• Proficiency in MS Word, including track changes and document comparison.
