This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Lead the planning and execution of layout and floorplanning for analog and mixed-signal blocks on advanced FinFET nodes.
β’ Develop and uphold analog layout techniques, including matching, symmetry, common-centroid structures, guard-ringing, shielding, and parasitic-aware placement/routing for sensitive analog nets.
β’ Take ownership of integration guidelines between analog/mixed-signal blocks and digital logic.
β’ Identify and address layout challenges specific to advanced nodes, such as multi-patterning (MP) constraints and color-aware routing.
β’ Drive DRC/LVS/PERC/antenna closure efforts and collaborate with design and verification teams during ECO layout cycles.
β’ Oversee layout schedules, milestones, and quality assurance across both internal teams and external layout vendors/subcontractors.
β’ Collaborate with packaging teams to meet advanced packaging layout requirements.
β’ Establish and lead layout methodology strategies, incorporating APR tools and custom scripting/automation to enhance efficiency.
β’ Mentor junior layout engineers and develop reusable layout methodologies, checklists, and documentation of best practices.
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in layout within the semiconductor industry, with substantial experience on FinFET process nodes (16nm and below).
β’ At least 2 years of leadership experience, including leading a layout team, mentoring engineers, or managing layout schedules and deliverables for projects.
β’ Strong practical expertise in analog/mixed-signal layout techniques for power management, reference, or precision analog circuits.
β’ Extensive knowledge of advanced-node layout constraints, including multi-patterning, restricted design rules, device orientation/matching rules, and layout-dependent effects.
β’ Demonstrated experience in defining or implementing analog-digital integration guidelines at both block and top levels.
β’ Familiarity with layout automation and APR methodologies, including their applicability and limitations for analog and mixed-signal designs.
β’ Proven track record of managing or closely collaborating with external layout teams, design service providers, or offshore layout groups.
β’ Proficient with industry-standard layout and verification tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre DRC/LVS/PERC.
β’ Strong understanding of parasitic extraction, IR drop, and electromagnetic/reliability considerations for power-carrying layouts.
