This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.
• Assist in various stages of Site/Civil projects for energy clients in Pennsylvania, focusing on stormwater and erosion and sediment control design and permitting.
• Develop stormwater and erosion and sediment control designs that comply with local and state regulatory standards.
• Aid in the preparation of permitting documents, ranging from zoning permits to NPDES stormwater permits.
• Execute technical aspects of project deliverables while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
• Support the completion of project phases and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Conduct fieldwork and participate in client or public meetings as necessary.
• Analyze and interpret field data and project information, presenting findings in a clear manner.
• Adhere to internal and external project deadlines.
• Implement established QA/QC procedures.
• Report schedule, budget, or quality issues to project managers and senior team members.
• Assist in stormwater design projects while considering local regulations and design standards.
• Analyze and interpret stormwater modeling results to support project development and capital improvement planning.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in site civil, stormwater, water resources, or similar engineering projects.
• Proven interest and progress towards obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater management and principles of erosion and sediment control design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Capability to work effectively with clients, project team members, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as Hydraflow, HydroCAD, or equivalent platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to assess technical information and formulate sound engineering recommendations.
• Experience in supporting multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania stormwater regulations, NPDES permitting, and erosion and sediment control requirements is preferred.
