Lead AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Outline the AI engineering strategy and architecture guidelines throughout the organization

• Oversee the decision-making process for building, purchasing, or integrating AI systems and platforms

• Design AI solutions tailored for the enterprise platform

• Create systems that prioritize scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in production settings

• Implement LLMOps methodologies

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure AI capabilities support business objectives

• Advocate for and implement AI-assisted coding practices and developer tools across the engineering team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, with proven expertise in designing and delivering production systems where accuracy, dependability, and auditability are crucial

• More than 2 years of experience in developing production-level LLM/GenAI and agentic systems, along with proficiency in AI-assisted coding tools and the acumen to establish organization-wide standards, evaluations, and safeguards for AI-generated code

• Strong judgment regarding appropriate applications for AI and its limitations

• Experience in making and articulating build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions at an organizational scale

• Expertise in Python and the contemporary GenAI application ecosystem

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
