Lead AI and Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement a comprehensive multi-year strategy for AI and intelligent automation that is in line with the business strategy, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity prerequisites, and investment priorities.

• Create and sustain an enterprise portfolio encompassing AI, robotic process automation, workflow, process mining, intelligent document processing, and agentic automation opportunities.

• Identify and redesign processes that are manual, repetitive, prone to errors, or information-heavy prior to their automation.

• Establish processes for intake, assessment, prioritization, and stage-gate from concept through to production, support, and retirement.

• Spearhead the design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous enhancement of production AI and automation solutions.

• Oversee roadmaps, budgets, vendors, licenses, service levels, risks, dependencies, and the realization of benefits.

• Set up responsible AI policies, governance forums, risk classifications, approval authorities, control standards, and inventories of AI systems.

• Define enterprise architecture patterns and ensure integration with Ramco MRO and ERP, finance, supply chain, collaboration, document management, data, and IT service management systems.

• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Airworthiness, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to enhance MRO workflows while maintaining technical records and airworthiness accountabilities.

• Create use cases such as maintenance planning support, demand forecasting, reliability analysis, inventory optimization, document classification, and exception detection.

• Foster AI literacy and responsible use training, lead change management initiatives, and establish champions for business automation.

• Build and lead a diverse capability across automation development, business analysis, AI engineering, solution architecture, product management, and change enablement.

• Report on portfolio progress, business value, operational risks, control effectiveness, and investment needs to senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, business, or a related field.

• A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in digital transformation, intelligent automation, enterprise applications, data, analytics, or technology delivery.

• At least three years of experience in leading AI or automation programs.

• Proven success in transitioning AI, automation, or advanced analytics solutions from discovery and proof of concept to secure, supported production services.

• Experience in developing business cases, managing portfolios and budgets, leading cross-functional programs, and validating realized financial and operational benefits.

• Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, MRO, manufacturing, or other safety-critical, regulated, and asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.

• Experience working across multiple countries, legal entities, or security domains, including Canada and the United States, is preferred.

• Strong expertise in generative AI, machine learning, AI agents, robotic process automation, workflow automation, process mining, APIs, integration, and intelligent document processing.

• Practical knowledge of responsible AI, model risk, privacy, information security, data governance, human oversight, testing, monitoring, and third-party risk management.

• Understanding of ERP and MRO processes and platforms.

• Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO IEC 42001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, secure software development practices, and relevant Canadian and U.S. defense-security obligations.

• Capability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances, controlled goods eligibility, and customer or program authorizations.

• This position requires Level II clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to access the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.

• Professional fluency in English is mandatory.

• Proficiency in French and other languages used in Top Aces operations is a plus.
