This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Efficiently address and resolve customer challenges.
• Execute reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, installation, or repair work orders.
• Analyze system logs and conduct routine audits to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Test, calibrate, and verify the functionality of system and peripheral devices.
• Ensure system operational performance adheres to contract specifications and shop drawings/sequence of operations.
• Perform system backups and apply necessary updates and patches.
• Offer support for software and hardware design, development, and implementation.
• Assist customers with Life Cycle Management and strategies for software upgrades and deployment.
• Revise customer drawings/documentation to reflect any configuration or model modifications.
• Manage or participate in the delivery of small service or installation projects, which may include engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, subcontractor management, start-up, testing, and customer acceptance.
• Create and maintain precise records, reports, system configuration documentation, and action lists.
• Lead and document recurring meetings with both customers and internal teams.
• Conduct formal reporting and maintain site documentation.
• Mentor and train junior Field Service Representatives.
• Respond to and resolve intricate emergency service calls as needed, in accordance with customer contract obligations. Complex service calls involve integrated and multi-vendor systems.
• Be available for on-call rotation for site coverage.
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• At least 5 years of field experience in Honeywell BAS Controls or access control and CCTV.
• Training or certification in Honeywell software programming tools.
• Training or certification in networking protocols and products.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• CFA and/or diploma in Electrical/Electronics.
• Experience in fault finding and repair of electronic equipment or maintenance of IT systems, including both hardware and software (server management, network configuration/troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with Domain Services, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, and Visio.
• Expertise in working within a server-based environment.
• Previous experience in the electronic security industry.
• Prior technical or installation experience.
• Solid understanding of network communications technology.
• Application programming experience (JAVA, Apache Tomcat, VB Script).
• Skills in report extraction and manipulation.
• Positive, innovative, eager to learn, proactive with the ability to solve problems autonomously.
• Capability to lead, mentor, and share knowledge.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Background in Computer Science.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Technical or professional certification.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
