This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop a relevant and forward-thinking curriculum aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of Arkansas law enforcement professionals through tailored leadership and management courses that address the evolving challenges faced by law enforcement throughout the State.
• Design and execute effective learning strategies and environments.
• Provide high-quality instruction and present lesson plans on scheduled class days in an engaging and clearly communicated manner.
• Cater to various learning styles by offering multiple strategies to engage with the same content (e.g., slides, lectures, videos, and/or readings).
• Offer additional support and guidance to students when requested.
• Revise course outlines annually to ensure that the information remains current and relevant.
• Expert in the subject matter pertaining to the area of instruction.
• Prior experience in instructional roles.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in either the law enforcement/criminal justice sector or school administration and/or instructional field.
• Successful completion of a background check (certified law enforcement and school administrators are exempt).
• Acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the Lecturer/Instructor employment agreement.
• Willingness to travel to the instructional site.
• An Associate's degree is required for all degree program courses.
• Additional job-related education and/or experience may be accepted as a substitute for some or all of these basic requirements, subject to the approval of the Director of the Criminal Justice Institute.
