This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate features and workflows under development, providing honest feedback on their practicality in real-world scenarios.
• Act as a resource on law enforcement methodologies, terminology, and agency operations beyond the founder's firsthand knowledge.
• Offer insights on how various roles (such as patrol, supervisors, records staff, command, animal control, victim services, IT, etc.) would engage with the platform.
• Identify practical, policy, or cultural factors that software developers often overlook.
• Occasionally assess marketing or product materials for accuracy and credibility with an audience from law enforcement agencies.
• Meet with the founder regularly, typically for three to four hours each month, with the possibility of occasional asynchronous feedback in between.
• Must have current or prior sworn law enforcement experience (officer, deputy, supervisor, command staff, or a similar position).
• Must have current or prior civilian law enforcement experience (such as animal control, records officer/clerk, reception, compliance, victim services, fleet management, etc.).
• Retired professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Practical knowledge of daily agency operations, including shift work, scheduling, fleet management, briefings, records, or administrative workflows.
• Ability to provide direct and candid feedback, including identifying issues or aspects that may not be applicable.
• Comfort in reviewing software concepts and mockups (no technical expertise required).
• Bonus: experience with a small to medium-sized agency, in records or administrative command, or in evaluating and procuring agency software.
• Bonus: experience across multiple agencies or states is a plus.
• For active officers: we are willing to accommodate your agency's outside-employment policy and structure the engagement accordingly.
• Genuine impact on a product designed for law enforcement, at a stage where your contributions influence the platform itself.
• Direct collaboration with the founder, ensuring there are no intermediary layers.
• A flexible, low-commitment engagement tailored to fit your schedule.
• The chance to enhance the tools that your profession utilizes on a daily basis.
