This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Operates under the guidance of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager, conducting intricate legal research.
• Drafts legal documents including motions, briefs, memoranda of law, and more.
• Evaluates documents for relevance and privilege.
• Supports attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance before employment begins (candidates do not need to have clearance at the time of application).
• Authorized to work within the United States.
• Ability to function effectively in a completely remote setting.
• Must possess a law degree.
• Requires a minimum of two to three years of increasingly responsible experience in litigation support projects, demonstrating proven capabilities and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and attorneys.
• Necessitates a solid understanding of federal and state court systems, legal research methodologies, and legal research resources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a comprehensive knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Proficiency with various computer applications is required, including word processing, databases (like document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
• The role also demands practical knowledge of ESI tools and an understanding of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
