This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the entire process and application specifics related to handheld laser products.
• Collaborate with targeted customers to identify and assess manufacturing constraints and opportunities.
• Deliver strategic training and technical assistance to key partners.
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight the advantages of handheld laser products and facilitate conversions.
• Coordinate necessary divisional resources to support specific sales opportunities.
• Engage in discussions regarding competitive positioning, innovation possibilities, customer feedback, and offer expertise to regional colleagues to aid in presenting the handheld laser value proposition.
• Create persuasive, fact-based ROI presentations for capital equipment sales of handheld laser solutions.
• Implement ROI strategies that monetize the value of handheld laser solutions for end-user clients.
• Provide regular updates on activities, opportunities, and status with operational units.
• Qualify leads that align with Handheld Laser solutions, managing the opportunity pipeline.
• Maintain consistent verbal and written communications and key activities among sales resources, distributor partners, key end-users, and the Precision Welding Solutions Division.
• Collaborate with the ITW welding sales team on joint account planning to secure end-user business.
• Effectively oversee the assigned territory and prioritize efforts with an 80/20 approach, focusing on key accounts and activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the welding industry.
• Strong business acumen is essential.
• Solid background in the TIG process and/or laser welding process.
• Previous sales experience in the welding industry is preferred.
• Excellent ability to communicate the value proposition to all levels of end-user management.
• Strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to develop strategic plans and proposals based on the current customer landscape.
• Proficient in strategic selling skills with a strong command of value-added sales techniques to facilitate the conversion process.
• Ability to communicate with and establish relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel overnight at least 75% of the time.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bilingual language skills are preferred.
