This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Contribute to various facets of the Company’s land acquisition process, encompassing site due diligence and all elements of site control, including assisting in resolving title and survey issues through the finalization of site control agreements related to financing and construction.
• Support all phases of wind, solar, battery storage, and real estate development, from initial strategy formulation through to financial closure and the commencement of construction.
• Oversee the daily management of land documents, GIS tools, project trackers, budgets, schedules, and development resources.
• Facilitate and manage the negotiation of intricate land and site acquisition agreements, including leases, purchase agreements, easements, surface waivers, and associated documentation.
• Supervise and manage third-party land agents and document specialists, which includes performing administrative audits of reports and trackers to ensure compliance and overseeing document request workflows for numerous site control initiatives.
• Maintain internal site control trackers and Power BI tools to deliver progress reports throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with landowners and community groups to promote robust community engagement and nurture positive relationships with landowners.
• Assist in the development and revision of land acquisition budgets and executive materials related to these initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate management, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in real estate, the energy sector, management consulting, finance, or a comparable field.
• 1+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel or other modeling software.
• Understanding of land, environmental policy, law, or renewable energy.
• A strong enthusiasm for renewable energy development.
• Familiarity with Google Earth and GIS applications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and relationship management.
• Ability to work independently and self-manage.
