Land Acquisition Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with landowners in designated target regions through various methods including in-person visits, phone calls, letters of interest, and more.

• Utilize online appraisal district and municipal maps to collect information about specific properties or areas.

• Keep a comprehensive tracking log of viable tracts and comparable transactions.

• Monitor municipal agendas weekly to stay informed about ongoing projects and potential acquisition opportunities.

• Reach out to brokers regarding their listings to gather relevant information.

• Build and nurture relationships with landowners, brokers, municipal staff, engineers, developers, attorneys, and land planners.

• Follow up on leads generated through established relationships and news sourced from various media channels.

• Assist with due diligence related to zoning requirements and financial analyses.

• Leverage Google Earth and other mapping tools to create visual exhibits and track land opportunities.

• Conduct residual analyses to ascertain suitable offer prices for land acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in land acquisitions, planning, and development.

• Established knowledge and relationships within the local land market.

• Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws.

• Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial reports and legal documents.

• Strong capacity to plan, organize, manage, and oversee the activities of direct reports.
