Land Acquisition Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Provide support to Regional and Divisional teams in assessing land opportunities.

• Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources, such as the MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, Land Vision, Zonda, and other external platforms.

• Aid the Land Acquisition Team in compiling market study data.

• Evaluate and analyze due diligence information for prospective land assets.

• Contribute to the development of proformas, valuations, and underwriting for potential land investments.

• Monitor key date timelines for due diligence, takedowns, closings, and modifications within new and existing projects.

• Assist in preparing lot committee presentations and the necessary documentation.

• Maintain accurate land files, spreadsheets, and databases to track land positions.

• Leverage GIS, Google Earth, and other resources to investigate potential land acquisition opportunities.

• Coordinate with various departments, divisions, and regions regarding land positions and critical dates.

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

• Expertise in MS Office, Google Earth, and GIS.

• Highly self-motivated and organized.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.

• Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency.

• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives with minimal oversight.

• Team-oriented work ethic and personality.

• Adaptable to a remote work setting.

• Strong interest in land acquisition.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry or a comparable role.

• Preferred experience in real estate or market research, along with professional knowledge of the residential construction and land brokerage sectors.
