This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Carry out manual labor and maintenance activities essential for the upkeep, enhancement, or construction of facilities and areas.
• Execute preventative and ongoing maintenance on physical structures as well as commercial or industrial facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Supply craft personnel with necessary materials, tools, and supplies.
• Disassemble, transport, assemble, and install equipment or furnishings as required.
• Assemble, install, and repair ergonomic desks.
• Assist in clearing clogged drains and replacing plumbing fixtures.
• Remove snow, landscaping materials, and other debris.
• Paint surfaces or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Conduct minor repairs or replacements of interior walls, ceilings, and building trim.
• Move or deliver items and materials to various locations as needed.
• Collect and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
• Transport small equipment or tools between different areas.
• Participate in daily safety toolbox meetings.
• Complete job safety evaluations for every task.
• Inform the supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being upheld.
• Carry out additional duties assigned to ensure departmental or unit success.
• Work independently without supervisory responsibilities in a remote camp environment.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment contract requirements, which may include a drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment, and hearing test.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team with colleagues, customers, and clients.
• Capability to make decisions independently and swiftly with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain standing for 12 hours per shift during the scheduled rotation.
• Must be able to live in dormitory-style accommodations and comply with remote camp cleanliness standards.
• Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in English is mandatory.
• Must adhere to company and client safety guidelines and regulations.
• Must be a local hire residing within one hour of Tok, Alaska.
• Ability to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps as necessary.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to knuckle.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. from floor to shoulders.
• Ability to carry 40 lbs. with both hands for at least 30 feet.
• Ability to perform continuous stooping, twisting, squatting, stair-climbing, ladder-climbing, and shoveling tasks.
• Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in arctic conditions, with moderate to loud noise, and occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Company-paid travel to remote locations following reporting to the point of hire (Anchorage or Fairbanks) for scheduled trips.
