This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a key daily leader for all matters related to labor relations.
• Assist in shaping strategy and offering guidance on a wide array of labor relations issues.
• Oversee collective bargaining negotiations and ensure contract compliance across multiple locations.
• Provide support to market hospitals regarding all facets of the grievance and arbitration process.
• Coordinate preparation for and response to strikes and picketing activities.
• Handle responses to union organizing efforts as necessary.
• Travel as required between facilities situated in California and Tennessee.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience is necessary.
• Proven experience in managing outside legal counsel and consultants.
• Expertise in overseeing the grievance and arbitration process.
• Background in union campaigns is essential.
• Experience in union negotiations is required.
• Extensive knowledge of labor and employment laws, as well as labor relations, is crucial.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and computer skills (including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and communication skills.
• The position may qualify for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 15% based on the level of the role.
• Management-level positions might be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
