Labor and Employment Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver legal research, writing, and drafting support for client law firms on a project basis.

• Prepare complaints and general pleadings.

• Create responses to motions to dismiss.

• Formulate responses to motions for summary judgment.

• Draft affirmative motions for summary judgment.

• Conduct legal research pertaining to labor and employment issues.

• Manage drafting related to ADA and disability discrimination.

• Provide litigation drafting assistance for both federal and state courts.

• Carry out discrete projects independently and efficiently.

• Address inquiries about the opportunity during a 30-minute online meeting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law.

• Experience in matters related to ADA and disability discrimination.

• Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.

• Strong experience in drafting for federal courts.

• Proficient in drafting substantial motions, pleadings, and briefs.

• Ability to independently oversee projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Must be responsive, reliable, and highly organized.

• Submission of a relevant legal writing sample, ideally involving employment litigation or substantial motion practice.

• Resume submission is required.

• Preferred: Experience on the plaintiff's side in employment law.

• Preferred: Knowledge of recent Eleventh Circuit employment law rulings.

• Preferred: Experience with claims related to gender and age discrimination.

• Preferred: Experience practicing in the Northern District of Florida.

• High-quality writing is especially crucial for this role.
