This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Assist in various stages of litigation, including the creation of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and materials for trial preparation.
β’ Perform legal research and compose memoranda concerning a range of labor and employment law topics.
β’ Aid senior attorneys in conducting fact investigations, interviewing witnesses, and formulating case strategies.
β’ Draft responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE.
β’ Create and evaluate employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
β’ Engage in client meetings and calls, providing updates and facilitating ongoing communications with clients.
β’ Keep abreast of changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision.
β’ Work collaboratively with partners and associates in a team-centric environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship.
β’ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
β’ Active member in good standing with the California Bar.
β’ 2β4 years of legal experience in California Labor & Employment Law.
β’ Strong preference for expertise in Wage and Hour and FEHA, though all Employment Law experience will be considered.
β’ Outstanding research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
β’ Keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
β’ 1900 billable hours requirement.
β’ Must reside in California and be admitted to practice law there.
