Kurdish Kurmanji VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical settings.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Kurdish Kurmanji."

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation at a reputable interpretation company is preferred, but not essential.

• Good knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous, but not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are beneficial (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
