Kurdish Kurmanji VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you will be interpreting in, particularly in healthcare and medical fields - training will be provided.

• Accurately convey all messages in full, without adding, omitting, or altering any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Assist in facilitating communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and service providers by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for acquiring new professional certifications.

• Maintain open communication and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Kurdish Kurmanji".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, though not essential.

• Understanding of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are desirable (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and a tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Exhibit strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
