This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.
• Develop and maintain Banner Health’s Kubernetes and containerization infrastructure.
• Create Terraform scripts to enhance Amazon EKS modules.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Manage upgrades for clusters and gateways.
• Optimize platform performance and manage costs effectively.
• Assist application teams in adopting the platform and utilizing self-service features.
• Engage in design and architectural assessments.
• Document processes and create runbooks.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and application engineering teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the platform.
• Lead project teams in analyzing, designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining PaaS solutions.
• Address application and configuration challenges while providing ongoing performance evaluations.
• Execute approved modifications and ensure ongoing service enhancements.
• Design cloud services that encompass storage, security, networking, and computing.
• Support, deploy, and oversee production applications.
• Create tools to automate production support tasks.
• Supervise mission-critical applications and platforms, ensuring their availability, security, performance, and stability.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Knowledge of AWS services.
• An automation-first approach to problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight to twelve years of experience in developing Enterprise Applications.
• Comprehensive understanding of concepts relevant to the position.
• Solid knowledge of programming and cloud technologies.
• Experience planning medium-scale projects.
• Capability to mentor junior team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across various facilities and organizational levels.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to a pager as necessary.
• Preferred certifications in cloud platforms: AZ-301, AZ-400, and AZ-500.
• Extensive experience in development and operations/engineering.
• Three to four years of experience in implementing Enterprise Cloud Solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, C#, .NET Core, hardware environments, and program logic.
