This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and specialty food service equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in commercial kitchens.
• Exhibit mechanical proficiency, resolve issues, and interpret diagrams and schematics.
• Liaise with manufacturers for diagnosis and parts identification.
• Consult the Technical Assistance Group for on-site technical support.
• Install parts ordered by customers promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Promote and suggest additional Smart Care services as necessary.
• Create precise work orders, time reports, receipts, and inventory lists for truck stock.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
• Maintain a tidy service vehicle and accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Meet productivity expectations as outlined by the company.
• High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and capability to partake in the emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as designated.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Capability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Comfort working with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and electrical-shock hazards in damp, humid, or freezing conditions.
• Ability to work at heights such as ladders and roofs.
• Preferred: relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications such as EPA or CFESA.
• Preferred: experience in repairing commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment.
• Self-driven, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
