This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish, nurture, and enhance relationships with retail, hardware, and building supply clients.
• Create strategic account plans aimed at driving revenue growth and ensuring customer loyalty.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers in the designated territory.
• Conduct regular visits to customers to comprehend their business needs and identify potential opportunities.
• Seek out and cultivate new business prospects throughout Ontario.
• Grow existing accounts while acquiring new customers.
• Meet or surpass sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Enhance market penetration and support strategic growth initiatives.
• Grasp customer challenges and propose value-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Sales Leadership to ensure customer success.
• Evaluate sales performance, market trends, and account profitability.
• Present account reviews, forecasts, and growth strategies to customers and leadership.
• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be taken into account.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in territory sales, account management, business development, or a similar sales role.
• Demonstrated success in growing customer accounts and generating new business.
• Experience in Retail or Mass Merchant Channels, Home Improvement, Hardware, Building Products, Plumbing, or Wholesale Distribution is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Key Account Management.
• Strong business development skills.
• Effective sales and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in data analysis and reporting.
• Capability in strategic account planning.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in managing a large territory and customer base.
• Frequent travel throughout Ontario is necessary (50% or more).
• Occasional air travel may be required for interprovincial engagements.
