Key Accounts Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Proactively seek out, target, and secure new enterprise customers.

• Develop and implement strategic prospecting plans to create qualified opportunities.

• Engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers to establish new revenue streams.

• Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.

• Create and uphold a robust, forward-looking pipeline for both new and existing clients.

• Continuously generate high-quality leads through networking, outreach, and market insights.

• Maintain excellent pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and deal momentum.

• Identify and unlock new opportunities within existing key accounts.

• Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives with a commercially focused, opportunity-oriented approach.

• Challenge and enhance existing relationships to boost account value.

• Develop compelling, insight-driven proposals that align with the client's business requirements.

• Position MasterStart as a strategic partner that delivers measurable impact.

• Consistently achieve or surpass ambitious sales and revenue objectives.

• Track, analyze, and optimize performance across pipeline and conversion metrics.

• Stay informed about industry trends, particularly in education, skills development, and corporate training.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a Business Development/Hunter role, ideally within B2B or enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and generating pipeline.

• Strong history of consistently exceeding sales targets.

• Experience in the education, training, or edtech sectors is highly beneficial.

• Experience working with clients in the financial services sector is advantageous.

• Exceptional skills in prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.

• Strong commercial insight and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Resilient, self-motivated, and highly driven to secure new business.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.

• Comfortable engaging with senior and executive-level stakeholders.

• Highly organized with strong pipeline management and time management skills.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
