This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies, pressures, and opportunities involved in the decision-making framework for each account.
• Utilize this in-depth knowledge to convey anticipated decision drivers and unmet needs of payers/providers and their influencers to the brand teams, ensuring a thorough analysis of key account situations.
• Emphasize the cross-functional implications of expected shifts in the payer/provider landscape to the IFTs and brand teams, thereby enhancing the BT’s foresight of future trends.
• Foster trusted and strategic relationships with payers/providers to foresee access challenges and align with the agendas, plans, and objectives of each key account.
• Identify collaborative opportunities and engage cross-functionally to create mutually beneficial partnerships with key accounts, positively impacting contracting and tendering opportunities for product accessibility.
• Formulate strategies and concise engagement plans tailored to specific accounts, with defined objectives and activities to maximize the usage, funding, and access of AbbVie products, keeping long-term product portfolio goals in mind.
• Negotiate, finalize, and execute contracts and/or oversee the contracting and tendering process, facilitating the development and presentation of proposals to achieve profit targets.
• Continuously monitor the implementation and effects of activities and the performance of key accounts to consistently enhance their impact on the bottom line.
• A bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience with a proven track record of success in a sales or consultative selling role within the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Capability to convert strategies into actionable and realistic key account engagement plans.
• Proficiency in leading, motivating, and coordinating cross-functional teams (in-field).
• Expertise in negotiating, finalizing, and executing contracting and tendering deals with key accounts and complex customer networks.
• Strong analytical, business planning, and financial acumen skills, along with a solid understanding of pharmaco-economic principles.
• In-depth knowledge of the payer/provider mindset and motivations within the relevant local context.
• Thorough understanding of the payer/provider decision-making process, including key stakeholders and influencers, along with proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
• Demonstrated success in specific key account (payer/provider) management strategically and tactically within the relevant local context is preferred.
• Preferred leadership experience within specific key accounts based on participation in key account decision-making processes in contracting and tendering situations (if applicable).
