
Key Account Manager – Energy Utilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Secure and enhance revenues with energy utilities (EVUs) by conducting an in-depth analysis of the market landscape, which includes defining customer- and process-relevant KPIs for the market, planning potential, and establishing medium- and long-term growth objectives for the German market.
• Generate actionable recommendations involving process and structural modifications, product and service strategies, pricing and discount frameworks, and the formulation of a sales and marketing strategy.
• Develop and nurture networks within the market landscape, engaging with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Structure and grow existing customer relationships (farming) and, when suitable, transition them into key accounts; actively generate leads through contact acquisition.
• Personally manage A-customers with direct oversight.
• Prepare and lead negotiations in collaboration with field sales for B and C customers.
• Enhance synergies with the field sales team.
• A completed degree in a technical or business-related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in sales, preferably in multichannel sales (channel management) or key account management, including project management.
• Excellent knowledge of the industry and market players, as well as an understanding of evolving business models influenced by digitalization (e.g., integrated energy management) within the utilities sector.
• High adaptability to shifting market influences affecting sales strategies.
• A strong process-oriented approach and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficient negotiation skills in both German and English, accompanied by strong verbal and presentation capabilities.
