This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers throughout the data center value chain.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies for the data center cooling and thermal management sector.
• Grasp customer cooling needs, including high-density computing, AI infrastructure, GPU applications, and the shift towards liquid cooling.
• Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation and opportunity development to technical discussions, quotations, negotiations, and finalizing deals.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create tailored technical and commercial solutions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, technological advancements, and emerging prospects.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and account plans.
• Engage in customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
• Assist with strategic pricing, contract negotiations, and establishing long-term customer agreements.
• Work together on product launches, customer implementation, and ongoing account support.
• Identify new products and technologies driven by customer requirements and market trends.
• Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, documentation, and HellermannTyton Quality and EHS certifications.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or technical sales within data centers, HVAC, thermal management, cooling systems, or a similar field.
• Solid understanding of data center cooling technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience in selling complex technical products or systems with extended sales cycles.
• Proven track record of building relationships with senior-level customers and key industry stakeholders.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend technical requirements and convert customer needs into commercially viable solutions.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to meet customers and participate in industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in data center cooling and thermal management, liquid cooling, direct-to-chip cooling, AI and high-density computing infrastructure, chillers, chilled-water systems, CDUs, and semiconductor/electronics/power-electronics thermal management is highly desirable.
