Key Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Utilize your existing experience with Whole Foods Market grocery sales to effectively position supplier partners competitively in the retail landscape.

• Support the smooth implementation of new item launches and promotional activities.

• Foster and enhance relationships with WFM and category managers, as well as utilized distributors (UNFI, etc.).

• Proactively seek out new opportunities for partners, including OCCIs, backfills, marketing assistance, and more.

• Design and propose strategic promotional plans for our suppliers within this account.

• Develop and execute relevant strategies to meet established supplier goals.

• Introduce new products following WFM’s new item protocol, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.

• Leverage analytics to enhance sales performance and identify growth opportunities.

• Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with key clients, retailer contacts, and distributor partners.

• Work collaboratively with Green Spoon leadership to generate ideas for business growth and recommend enhancements.

• Act as a supportive and cooperative team member, driving ongoing improvements in efficiency and productivity.


⛳️ Requirements

• Located in Austin, TX or nearby areas (a must).

• A college degree is highly preferred.

• Experience with Whole Foods is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in Key Account management and sales is required.

• A minimum of 4 years in relevant CPG experience and/or 2 years of direct WFM HQ grocery experience.

• Highly motivated, diplomatic, and proactive with a solutions-focused approach.

• Experience in organic and natural products is preferred.

• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

• Willingness to travel out of state and to WFM Austin HQ as necessary for meetings and sample deliveries.
